Jim Tibby, Florida Field Director

Jim Tibby currently lives in Clearwater, Florida with his Wife, Lynne.

Jim was raised in the Church and he believed in God. He believed Jesus was the Son of God, that he lived a sinless life, that he suffered on the cross for our sins, that he died, was buried and that he arose 3 days later on Easter Sunday. However, believing in God is not enough for the Word says that even the Demons believe and they tremble. Jim believed in Jesus, but he did not know God. He had all of the head knowledge but did not trust in Jesus.  As it has been said, “He missed God by 18 inches” (The distance between the head and the Heart). As a freshman in college, Jim accepted Jesus as His LORD and Savior through the efforts of Campus Crusade for Christ while attending Arizona State University as a Music Major.  Jim immediately began directing a choral and instrumental group sponsored by Campus Crusade called “That Certain Sound”.

Throughout the years, Jim has been Minister of Music or Director of Music through many Churches in Florida. He was Bi-vocational as his full-time occupation was in many aspects of the Real Estate Profession. Jim has been Licensed and actively involved in the Real Estate Profession since 1974. He is a Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker and a Florida Licensed Real Estate Instructor. Over the years Jim has enjoyed success in Residential and Commercial Sales, Sales Management and Training. Jim has conducted over 800 Courses with over 15,000 Students in attendance through his prior association with Century 21, The University of South Florida and Keller Williams. A Graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Music Education, Jim has been awarded the following Real Estate Designations and Certifications:  ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), ABRM (Accredited Buyer Representative Manager), CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager), AHWD (At Home with Diversity Certification) and e-PRO (Certified Internet, Technology Professional).

Just prior to Jim’s retirement from full-time employment in Real Estate, the Holy Spirit convicted him that he needed to pursue Ministry training. Jim had an increased hunger for the Word.  He discovered Christian Leaders Institute and has since been taking classes regularly.  CLI has been a blessing to Jim as he shares what he is learning from C.L.I. with his Community Group and as Co-teacher of his Sunday Bible Study.

Thanks to C.L.I., Jim has been awarded a total of 39 Awards, Certificates, and Diplomas and has recently been awarded the Bachelor of Divinity degree with CLI Honors: Summa Cum Laude.  Jim is now Ordained as a Deacon, as an Officiant Minister and most recently as a House Church Minister.
